So everyone has been talking about Makeup Geek eyeshadows created by Marlena from MakeupGeek on YouTube for a long time now. I have always been interested in purchasing them and finally got around to getting eight of them within the past month or so (along with two pigments. Separate review coming soon). I gave myself a little time to play around with them and to figure out how I really feel about them - and to be honest... they are amazing.
You can purchase these shades in a magnetic pan for $5.99 each or in a compact for $7.99.
Bitten- “Matte deep maroon red”. This is a must have for fall! Absolutely beautiful when applied over Coco Bear in the crease.
Coco Bear- “Matte reddish brown”. This is my favorite shade from Makeup Geek, it’s so beautiful and unique! It is my go-to Crease color to deepen or warm up any eyeshadow look.
Moondust- “Metallic silver taupe” A very unique color. I find this to be
more of a Brown Grey taupe, Not a silvery metallic taupe but still a stunning taupe that I love to wear paired with Coco bear & Mocha in the crease.
Crème Brulee- “Medium sand color with a soft matte finish”
Bada Bing- “Deep Brown with flecks of gold”
Purely Naked- “Shimmery tan” A beautiful nude shade with little bits of sparkle throughout but it’s not overly shimmery.
Cosmopolitan- “Rose Gold with gold flecks with a shimmery finish”
Mocha- “Deep matte brown” This is a perfect dark brown for deepening the outer-v and the crease.
I got the “Pink Sunrise” large Zpalette ( A Makeup Geek Exclusive). It is very sturdy and holds the eyeshadows perfectly! It also comes with magnetic stickers to put on eyeshadow pans that are not magnetic. (All of Makeup Geek’s pans are magnetic.)
The Bottom Line: Would I purchase more MUG? Defiantly! I think the quality of the eyeshadows are great for the price and shipping is very inexpensive.
